Academic Disqualification

Students who have previously been on academic notice may be subject to academic disqualification if either their 91³Ô¹Ï and/or Cumulative/Overall GPA falls below the minimum GPA based on their class level:

Academic Disqualification means that you are no longer a student at 91³Ô¹Ï. However, if you want to return to 91³Ô¹Ï to complete your degree, you can work towards raising your GPA(s) back to 2.0 and petition for reinstatement.

Options After Academic Disqualification

• I was academically disqualified at the end of the most recent semester and would like to appeal my disqualification.

  If you recently received notification that you were academically disqualified and you experienced extenuating circumstances outside of your control that impacted your academic performance, you may be able to appeal your disqualification. A successful appeal will result in your academic standing changing to continued on academic notice.

  The deadline to submit a Disqualification Appeal for Spring 2026 is July 1, 2026.

  The Academic Advising Office is holding several Academic Disqualification Options Workshops during the month of June for students to learn more about next steps after disqualification. You can RSVP for one of the workshops .

• I was academically disqualified more than 1 semester ago OR I did not appeal/my appeal was not approved.

  If the deadline to appeal your disqualification has passed, you did not submit an appeal, or you submitted an appeal and it was not approved, it is still possible for you to return to 91³Ô¹Ï through the process of reinstatement.

  Reinstatement is the process that allows students who were previously academically disqualified to return to 91³Ô¹Ï as regular students and resume coursework toward their bachelor’s degree.

  To be eligible for reinstatement, academically disqualified students must raise both their 91³Ô¹Ï and Overall GPAs to 2.0 or higher.
