Student Government Passes Resolution Calling for a Dean's List at 91³Ô¹Ï

On September 18th, Student Government passed an important resolution calling for the implementation of a DEAN's LIST here at CSU Channel Islands. A Dean's List is the institutional standard and nationally recognized way to honor academic excellence, ensuring that our students receive the recognition they deserve. Not only will this elevate the academic reputation of our university, it will ensure that our students have the competitive edge in job market and graduate school application process. Our team is working closely with campus faculty and administration to bring this initiative to life and ensure it reflects the high standards of 91³Ô¹Ï. Stay tuned for updates and click here read the resolution!

Student Government Launches Investment Policy Student Review Committee

Your Student Government is proud to announce that, in response to student advocacy
and action, the campus administration has committed to actively engaging student voices in the evaluation of the 91³Ô¹Ï Foundation's investment policies. To ensure that student perspectives are meaningfully incorporated into these important decisions, the Investment Policy Student Review Committee (IPSRC) has been established. This committee, organized and facilitated by ASI Student Government in collaboration with the Office of the President and University Advancement, will play a crucial role in assessing and shaping the investment practices of the 91³Ô¹Ï Foundation. The committee's work will involve a comprehensive review of current investments and policies, gathering and analyzing student feedback, and ultimately providing informed recommendations on best practices
and ethical standards for the university's investment strategies. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to ensure alignment of 91³Ô¹Ï's investments with the values and priorities of the student body, ensuring that our university's financial decisions reflect a commitment to sustainability, social and ethical responsibility, and the long-term well-being of our community.
